Shaelynn has been after me to decorate the house for Halloween. I finally drug out our little Halloween houses that light up and I let her set them up in our front room. I thought that would be enough for her but NOOOO.....she wants to decorate outside too.
I told her we would go on our yearly hayride at the pumpkin patch and pick out some nice big pumpkins to set out on the porch. This still doesn't satisfy her. She wants to get orange lights to hang up and purchase some fun ghoulish things to put outside. *rolling eyes*
I guess I have to face the fact that she has a lot of her grandma Becky in her. The girl loves to shop, dress up and decorate things. Myself? Not so much!
Hopefully getting the blog in the mood will help me to want to decorate outside as well.
The things we do for those we love. :o)

Looks awesome, Carlynn! Love those shots of your very scary kids. Freaky!
Our neighbors would probably think we were crazy if we decorated much outside since Halloween is still mostly a very American (and British?) holiday. We had a Halloween party last year for the kids and their friends and it was a huge hit! They're just getting used to the idea over here.
Oh! I haven't heard The Monster Mash forever! I love your picture header, very cool with it all black behind. As for the decorating stuff, I'm with you (eye rolls, that is.) You're a good mom to humor her, I guess it is for kids, after all!
Cute picture of your kids. I'm assuming it's from last year. And thanks for putting Thriller up on your playlist. I haven't heard that song for years. I remember seeing that music video so many times I had it memorized. And Vincent Price's voice at the end of it just makes it all that more awesome! :)
I can't WAIT to decorate for fall/halloween. I think it's only because my decorations are the only thing that reminds me it's fall. So cal sucks for that!
This year was the first time Isaac wanted to help decorate, of course after he dound spiders at the dollar store!
